Milk & Co Skincare Review

Hey Guys!

Milk and Co are a beautiful skincare company that caters for him, her and baby! The natural based skincare products are made in Australia, not tested on animals, paraben free and have 100% recyclable free. With all those things combined into one products you can ensure that your skin is going to thank you for trying these products.

The Rejuvenating Face Masque has 75gm of product. Firstly, i love the packaging of all of Milk and Co's products, there so unique. The masque claims to rejuvenate tired and dry skin and contains multiple fruit extracts, vitamin E, rose hip oil and green tea extract to exfoliate, smooth and moisturise your skin. The product has a grey medium constancy in the container. A little of this mask also goes a long way, it feels amazing when applying this to the skin. It has a wonderful refreshing cold feeling and for the first couple of minutes has a slight tingling sensation. It then drys on the face- making it very hard to talk or show emotion haha. Once a week, i have been applying this face mask liberally all of my face and neck. It is amazing!! It conditions my skin, removes all dead skin cells, and leaves my skin feeling smoother than a babies butt! This face mask, is made out of organic ingredients as well, and after removing the mask, my skin feels healthier and rejuvenated. Definitely recommending this to our friends.

Next we have the Beauty Wipes. The packet comes with 25 wipes and they are amazing!!! One side of the wipe is smooth and the other side contains small dots for exfoliation. I love how they included this. This product removes all makeup, as well as any dirt or bacteria that is on the skin. The wipes "aid in dehydration, temperature variation and counteracts high saline levels". The Aloe vera and chamomile extracts soothe and protect our skin, and act as a cooling agent to reduce redness, which i love, as i have particularly red cheeks!

The Face Cleaner:
I have found this face cleanser to be extremely versatile. It works on oily and dry skin, is perfect for everyday use, and also has the ability to remove all my makeup. I recently went to the snow and got really bad wind and sun burn as well as a break out, so this is what i have been reaching for, as it is all organic and made from natural ingredients, that nourish my skin, with out leaving it feeling dry. It is not tested on animals and is Paraben free! However it does have a very strong scent to the cleanser which can be a love hate relationship, but its all personally preference to whether you like scented products- to us it smells great.

40 Beauty Questions Tag!

Hey everyone!
Hope you are all doing fantastic! For todays post i thought i would do the 40 Beauty Questions tag. Although this did take forever to do and i some how ended up with 42 questions… it was great fun doing it so i hope you all enjoy!

The first couple of questions are all about skincare! For more in-depth info on my skin care routine head to my other post here!

1. How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice a day! Morning and night- although sometimes in slack in the morning if I'm having a lazy day! Opps!

2. What skin type do you have?
I have combination skin! I get dry skin around my forehead in the winter time but also get really oily in my t-zone.

3. What is your current facial wash?
I have recently been using the St Ives Green Tea Cleaner and have been loving it but recently switched to the Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine go away cleanser and love it! It lathers up soo much and acutally acts as a mask!

I exfoliate at least twice a week.

5. What brand do you use?
I have been using the Olay Fresh Effects Exfoliating Cleanser.

7. Do you have freckles?
Nope!

11. What foundation do you use?
I use the Loreal True Match foundation! Amazing build able coverage and makes my skin look great!

14. What do you think of fake eyelashes?
Love them! If I could wear them everyday I would!

I do! Mascara is one of the main products I use so I have way to many and go though them really quickly.

16. What brand of mascara do you use?
It changes everyday! The last couple of weeks I have been loving my jordana best lash extreme volumising mascara and the rimmel scandal eyes mascara.

I use a variety of brushes ranging from real techniques, jess up, random ones from ebay and nude by nature.

On the days I wear eyeshadow I will either reach for my NYX jumbo eye pencils or my elf eyelid primer.

21. For the face?
Been loving my NYX photo loving primer!

22. What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Can't live without a good old matte brown eyeshadow! That in the crease to add some dimension is all I need sometimes.

23. Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Both! Liquid to create a wing and pencil for my tightline and waterline.

24. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Too often..

25. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
Great! They can create the most amazing glittery dramatic eye looks although they can be very messy to use.

26. Do you use mineral makeup?
In summer I love using the nude by nature mineral powder to create a simple base.

27. What is your favorite lipstick?
OMG this is a hard question! I have way to many favourites. If I had to pick one of my favourite that I am loving at the moment I'm loving NYX butter lipstick in hunk!

28. How about lipgloss?
Too obvious! The NYX butter glosses hands down! My little obsession.

29. What is your favorite blush to use?
I love the NYX blush in pinched. It's a beautiful pink shade with gold glitter or my Essence blush in Adorable number 10, such a pretty baby pink shade.

In love with colourful lipsticks and neutral eyeshadows.

37. Which celebrity always has great make up?
Rhianna! She is flawless!

Mascara! My eyelashes are quite long but grow downwards so I need mascara to make them visable!

39. Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Absolutely! Makeup should be used to express how your feeling and it's always great to go days not wearing makeup! You should feel comfortable with and without makeup on!

40. Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I would say I look better with it on! Haha
41. In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I love so many makeup brands but one that stands out for being so affordable and amazing quality would have to be NYX. I love all of the products and just think there amazing!

42. What do you think of Makeup?
It's amazing! Makeup is a way to express yourself and feel comfortable with who you are. If putting a little bit of makeup on or even a lot gives you a confidence boost and makes you feel like you could take on the world, then i say wear whatever you want and rock that look. Makeup is a way for people that may be shy or embarrassed of some imperfections they may have to feel great about themselves inside and out!

ibeauty Cosmetics Eyeshadow Review + Swatches

Hi guys!

I recently finished filling my ibeauty Cosmetics 12 pan eyeshadow palette so thought i would share them with you all.

Firstly, ibeauty Cosmetics are an online website that sells eyeshadows and only ships within Australia (sorry to all our international followers!). As ibeauty are closing down there eyeshadows are on sale from $7.50 to just $3 till all stock is sold- so get in quick before they sell out of the eyeshadows you want. You can purchase them from http://ibeautycosmetics.com.au

I have a 12 pan eyeshadow palette that only cost $3 which i think is amazing. The eyeshadows all weigh 1.5g and are 26mm for anyone interested in size- i think the same size as MAC eyeshadows.

Now to the eyeshadows, here are the 12 eyeshadows i own. Starting from the top row:
L to R: Polar, Barely There, Tickled Pink, Sugar and Spice.
2nd Row: Sahara, Star Dust, Dusk, Too Faced
3rd Row: Taupedo, Coco, Mischief, Black Widow

NOTE: ALL EYESHADOW SWATCHES ON LEFT ARE BY THEMSELVES AND ON THE RIGHT IS OVER NYX JUMBO EYE PENCIL IN MILK.

Polar: A beautiful white shimmery shade that has a light champagne sheen to it. A great highlighter for the inner corner, brow bone and cheek bones!

Barely There: A matte light skin colour shade. I use this shade all over the entire lid to set my primer and act as a base to help blend in other eyeshadows. This colour was so hard to show up in a swatch as its soo close to my skin colour but is so great as a base and one of my most used shadows!

Tickled Pink: A shimmery light champagne/gold shade

Sugar and Spice: This colour comes across as a light golden sheen. It isn't the best pigmentation in this one but i love the effect it creates of a wash of colour.

Sahara: A matte warm tone light brown/tan colour. This looks fantastic in the crease as it works as a transition colour before adding a darker colour into the crease.

Star Dust: An amazing shimmery gold shade! So pigmented and goes on liked butter.

Dusk: A shimmery soft pink shade.

Too Faced: A shimmery mixture of grey tones and purples. It was hard to capture the true colour of this eyeshadow as you can't really see the purple and it comes across as more of a brown. Its was one those shades that looks different every time you see it and wear it, but looks great on!

Taupedo: A light cool tone matte brown- almost has a hint of purple to it.

Coco: A warm tone matte brown.

Mischief: A beautiful shimmery purple with a slight blue undertone!

Black Widow: A matte black shade.

Note: All eyeshadows that claim to be matte all have some shimmer in them but appear matte on the skin.

So we hope you enjoyed our swatches of the ibeautycosmetics eyeshadows. We love them and totally recommend them to everyone!

Skincare Routine! Ft. Olay Fresh Effects Range

Hey all,

Today we thought we would bring to you our current skincare rountine. We were lucky to receive some products to trial which consist of the Olay Fresh Effects range. We have been using the products morning and night for the past week and already see great changes in our skin.
Our morning skin care routine consists of:
1.  The Olay Fresh Effects Shine Minimising Cleaner. So far I am so in love with this cleanser. As I have combination skin I get really oily in my t-zone yet dry patches around my face. I was really cautious this would dry out the drier areas but it hasn't, it really just removes my makeup whilst cleansing my skin and making it feel amazing. It also has this metallic like sheen to the cleanser and the power of a mask as it foams up and lathers so much it's amazing!

2. After using the cleaner I apply the Lacura eye gel to refresh my under eyes. As its a bit cold i find it use helps to reduce puffiness from sleeping and make me feel more awake!

3. The mosituriser that I apply in the morning is the Olay Fresh Effects Satin Finish Lotion and I have found my new favourite moisturiser ever!! The formula of this mosituriser is amazing! Its in between a lotion and a gel and applies so nicely into the skin. It has the consistency of a primer- that soft velvety feeling in the skin and hydrates my skin so well whilst creating a beautiful healthly finish due to the satin finish. The mosituriser has a pearl like effect which is great to create a subtle dewy glow.

At night we have been switching up between two different cleansers.
1. The Olay Fresh Effects Shine Minimising Cleaner and the Olay Fresh Effects Exfoliating Cleanser. The exfoliating cleaner is also great, it gives a subtle exfoliation as it has small beads in it. I would say this is a great exfoliation for people that don't won't that harsh exfoliation as it's very gentle.
2. If my skin is looking worse then usual or I feel like a deeper clean I would follow this cleaner after the shower with the Witch Hazel Toner to refresh and tighten my skin.

3. For eye cream at night I use the Lacura age renew eye cream to help fight and prevent fine lines and wrinkles!

4. Now for our secret and amazing mosituriser (that probably isn't too secret) we have started using 100% organic coconut oil as a moisturiser at night as it works wonders for the skin. It may seem a tad oily when applying to the skin however it rubs in and feels like velvet on the skin. We have seen an improvement with fine lines around our eyes and forehead along with blemishes on the skin. It feels great!

Hope you enjoyed our skin care routine! What products do you use?

MAC lipstick dupes?

Hey guys!

If you guys live in Australia and watch the news you would have seen that 'Cosmo Cosmetics' has just been caught for selling fake MAC products- in which we nearly fell into the trap- I even asked the shop keeper questions about the products and she informed me that it is illegal to sell fake MAC products and these are 100% genuine, yet i visited Cosmo Cosmetics today after that talk to find all the MAC products completely off shelf and they do not sell them anymore due to them being fake! When we saw the fake MAC lipsticks they were about $4 of the regular price and had all the same aspects of the original lipsticks including size, shape, font, smell etc (it just goes to show the amount of work people go into trying to sell fake products!) However, we were lucky enough not to purchase these lipsticks and instead buy four lipsticks that are supposed dupes to MAC lipsticks.

The brand is 'C-II' which is Cosmo cosmetics brand. I did a bit of research after reading about this issue with cosmo and found that as the lipsticks have no relationships with MAC that they would be safe to use as they do not claim to be anything else other then lipsticks.

Angel, Please Me, Pink Plaid, Rebel

The lipsticks do however have the same names as MAC lipsticks so we purchased angel, please me, pink plaid and rebel to see how they were.

The lipsticks cost $5.95 each which I think is fantastic for what they are. The packaging of the lipstick looks great as it's covered in a decorative pattern and you are able to see the lipstick colour at the bottom, but opening and closing the lipstick is terrible as they are very stiff and difficult.
Angel, Please Me, Pink Plaid, Rebel

Now to the lipsticks, they have the same name and finishes which was on of the factors that drawed us in. All the lipsticks apply soo creamy and are really pigmented and opaque on the lips. They also have amazing staying power and have left stains on my arms from the swatches- especially rebel!

Angel, Please Me, Pink Plaid, Rebel
Angel
The first lipstick we have is angel! MAC angel is a frost but this is the only lipstick that is different and it is a pearl! As we own the MAC angel we were able to compare it and they are exactly the same!!
MAC on the left and C-II lipstick on the right
Angel

Please Me
Please me is a matte shade thats a hot pink coral shade! Applies really creamy and remains creamy on the lips whilst giving a matte appearance.
Please Me
Pink plaid
Pink Plaid is a soft pink colour with blue undertone. It is matte shade but doesn't really appear matte on the lips.
Pink Plaid

Rebel
Rebel is so pigmented and amazing! A deep berry purple colour with a blue undertone. Its so creamy and has a beautiful satin finish.

Rebel

I thought i would include a picture of the ingredients in the lipsticks after the big scam with fake mac products from Cosmo Cosmetics. I've had a lot of questions about the ingredients in the lipsticks and if there safe to use, as I'm no expert i compared it to my REAL MAC lipstick packet and found ingredients that were in both! However if you guys know of stuff that shouldn't be in lipsticks that you can see in the list let me know!! :)

Overall i like these lipsticks, i have had no reactions on my lips or arm when i have swacthed them and am pleasantly surprised considering the price. I am still cautious about the whole incident that panned out at Cosmo Cosmetics so will let you guys know if i have any incidents with these lipsticks.

What are your thoughts on these lipsticks?
